Christmas is upon us!

Christmas is approaching fast and I'm quite excited about that.  I love Christmas time and all of the crazy business that comes along with it. So to kick of the Christmas season I have Challenge #12 from Do-Al(1) Kreatives to share with you. 


I've designed this on a craft card base with layers of black dot embossed card and a white wood PL card.  The wreath is a digi stamp donated by DigiStamp4Joy for the purpose of this challenge.

I found this framework of a deer head stamp and loved it, I tried stamping it on some Vellum as I still wanted to be able to see the Wreath in behind it, but I think that some of it gets a bit lost.  Next time I will stamp it on some ash coloured cardstock I think.

Ingredients for 'Merry and Bright'
Kraft card 18cm x 25cm (Folded in half to form card base)
Black cardstock 16cm x 11cm
White wood PL card 15cm x 10cm
Dark music sheet paper 10cm x 7cm to form tag in behind
Corner punch
Adhesive
Gold & Red Liquid Pearls
Vellum
Foam tape

Feeling Sketchy Card #146 - Where there is love there is you

I've been needing some help getting a bit of motivation back and so thought I'd give some blog challenges a go again, nothing like a deadline to get the creative juices flowing right!  So here is my take on the Feeling Sketchy #146 challenge I wanted to do something a bit different so created a Z fold card.  I used a Tim Holtz die to create some depth and texture in the background, stamping over the top of it and continuing this through onto the raised centre circle.  Completing the sketch with a floral stamped image which has also continued through to the next layer.  I really enjoyed giving this a go - thanks Feeling Sketchy!

Southern Girls Challenge - Anything goes

Welcome back everyone!  This time of the year is when things really start to get busy for me - so an anything goes challenge is just perfect.  Busy times do often mean that my relaxing times are spent playing with my craft goodies. I have used a New Zealand Brand here of Rosies Studio - Indigo mist range. This is a range that I had in my stash - yes I'm going through one of those phases where I feel the need to use up more of my hidden stash rather than think of myself as a craft supply horder. So here we have 'Love u' This particular paper was a bight too pink for me - so I toned it down by applying a thin layer of white gesso over the top of some clear gesso so as not to destroy my paper. I have used left over scraps of varying lengths to build up my next layer and to add that directional layer. I'd love to see what you are working on so remember to join in the challenge fun!
