Scrapbook Socialites

I went to a class with the Artfull Crafts roadshow on Wednesday and had a good play with some mixed media products.  It inspired me again to get the canvas out and have a play with my own stash.  Here's what I managed to whip up. I just love the vibrancy that this projects.

Sitting in the office today my mind has wandered a little...ok a lot!  Thoughts have roamed from nagging the husband to finish off my craft room over the weekend, to 'oh I must make some father's day cards'....and then landed at one point to remembering some projects from the past.  So I thought I'd re-live some of those moments today!  Enjoy :)

As I was looking through Facebook the other day a notification from Paper Smooches popped up for a Guest Designer for a month - curious I went and had a look as I have often looked at the Paper Smooches stamps and even own some of their dies.  Great value products by the way :)  Anyway....I thought why not give it a go, nothing to lose and some great cards to gain.  I've never used Digi Stamps before and the site offered some for free, so I jumped on in boots n all. I also just wanted to say that I don't have all the latest and greatest of colouring products so I think that this is a good display to showcase that you can produce some great images with only a few resources at your disposal.  Hope you enjoy! One of the great things that I found with the digi stamps is that I could re-size it. I used some watercolour paint for the background and added some stamped stars, lightly embossing them in silver for a bit of shimmer.  I coloured the little critte...

After so so so long of suggesting, asking - begging - pleading I've finally convinced the kids (and the hubby) to share our wee room off the lounge!  It's only a small space but somehow over the years we had managed to cram so many toys into it.  So my weekend was spent cleaning this room out and transforming it into a shared space.  While it's not yet totally complete I'm just happy that I have a desk to work at yay!!!!!  Creations here I come!!!! So I forgot to take a true photo - but this one is  about 3/4 way through my clean out. And......I at least have my desk and essentials in there!   Still a shelf to go up and the TV.  So happy :)
