Those Eyes!

Those eyes huh who can resist them...not me that's for sure.  My little miss gets away with a lot just by giving me this look.  Couldn't resist then using this photo as my inspiration for the Southern Girls Challenge - Animal Antics.




For my layout I picked three colours from my photo - Brown, blue and pink.  I have used various items to bring each of these into the layout. Scraps of paper, buttons, ribbon etc.  I started from the top down layering my photo to try to balance out the colours, and then added the background bits last.  Sounds a bit back to front but I really wanted my image to be the main focus.

Feeling Sketchy Card #146 - Where there is love there is you

I've been needing some help getting a bit of motivation back and so thought I'd give some blog challenges a go again, nothing like a deadline to get the creative juices flowing right!  So here is my take on the Feeling Sketchy #146 challenge I wanted to do something a bit different so created a Z fold card.  I used a Tim Holtz die to create some depth and texture in the background, stamping over the top of it and continuing this through onto the raised centre circle.  Completing the sketch with a floral stamped image which has also continued through to the next layer.  I really enjoyed giving this a go - thanks Feeling Sketchy!

Welcome to 2020!  What a better way to welcome the new year with a Lets craft and create challenge of 'Love is n the air'. For this months challenge I created a love themed album to be given to a couple on their wedding day.  Thankfully the wedding has now taken place and I can share these pictures with you all now! This album has been created using the 'Romantique' collection from Kaisercraft.

Flora and Fauna - Southern Girls Challenge

Hi Everyone! Today I bring you my take on the Southern Girls Challenge theme of 'Flora and Fauna'. I've taken my own quirky take on the theme with my interpretation of fauna. So here is a definition that I found for fauna: Fauna - is all the animal life present in a particular region or time. 'I Love You - Even when you're hangry'                    So this special moment was captured on a visit to our local Zoo, at this point my daughter had a bad case of the 'Hangers' (Hungry Angers) ....which pretty much turned her into an animal! I love how this soft floral layout just seems to work for this.
