Pssst Guess what - Big news.....
I have been selected to be part of the Lets Scrap Sketches design team.

 Very exciting stuff I am looking forward to sharing my work and helping inspire some of you over the next 6 months. 

Now for the first sketch for this term from Mich,  
  


And here is my take on the sketch.
I got to spend some really good girly time with my 6 year old daughter, it was a fun and some what spontaneous day - I wanted to capture this feeling in my layout with the use of colour and surprise elements.
I really liked these hearts but didn't want them to be too bold and detract from the photo's, so I created some shakers out of vellum and for a bit of fun there are white beads floating around inside them too.

Here is have used some stitched stamps to draw your eye down the page.  I added some texture and softness by including some inked muslin between my layers.

I created my background using watercolour paints and Gellatos.  Building on top of that with some Bo Bunny stitch stamps, texture paste and inked coffee stains.  See below for a list of the products that have been used here:

    LOVE the confetti pack in vellum...I have to start adding that to my own layouts more...so much fun...love the colours and topic big time! LOL

I've been needing some help getting a bit of motivation back and so thought I'd give some blog challenges a go again, nothing like a deadline to get the creative juices flowing right!  So here is my take on the Feeling Sketchy #146 challenge I wanted to do something a bit different so created a Z fold card.  I used a Tim Holtz die to create some depth and texture in the background, stamping over the top of it and continuing this through onto the raised centre circle.  Completing the sketch with a floral stamped image which has also continued through to the next layer.  I really enjoyed giving this a go - thanks Feeling Sketchy!

Welcome to 2020!  What a better way to welcome the new year with a Lets craft and create challenge of 'Love is n the air'. For this months challenge I created a love themed album to be given to a couple on their wedding day.  Thankfully the wedding has now taken place and I can share these pictures with you all now! Flora and Fauna - Southern Girls Challenge

Hi Everyone! Today I bring you my take on the Southern Girls Challenge theme of 'Flora and Fauna'. I've taken my own quirky take on the theme with my interpretation of fauna. So here is a definition that I found for fauna: Fauna - is all the animal life present in a particular region or time. 'I Love You - Even when you're hangry'                    So this special moment was captured on a visit to our local Zoo, at this point my daughter had a bad case of the 'Hangers' (Hungry Angers) ....which pretty much turned her into an animal! I love how this soft floral layout just seems to work for this.
